Terms of Service

Effective date: May 8, 2026

These Terms govern your use of NonCompeteState(the “Site”), an informational research property operated by Desymphony EOOD, a Bulgarian limited-liability company (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Not legal advice

NonCompeteState is informational research only. Nothing on the Site — including but not limited to the enforceability decoder, state pages, federal-status writeup, methodology, FAQ, and sources index — constitutes legal advice or creates an attorney-client relationship between you and Desymphony EOODor any of its principals or contractors. Desymphony EOOD is not a law firm.

Non-compete law changes frequently and varies by state. The Site may contain errors, omissions, or out-of-date information. Always confirm any information you intend to act on with a licensed employment-law attorney admitted in your state.

2. Use of the Site

You may access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial informational purposes. You may not (a) reproduce or republish content from the Site except as expressly permitted; (b) use the Site to harass, defame, or harm any person; (c) use automated tools to scrape the Site at a rate that impairs availability for other users; or (d) attempt to circumvent any security or access-control mechanism.

3. Lawyer-match referrals

The Site may include links to third-party employment-law attorneys, attorney-network referral services, or legal-tech providers. Desymphony EOODmay receive a referral fee from the third party when you engage their services through a link or form on the Site. This referral relationship does not change the price you pay or the third party's independent professional duty to you. We do not endorse any attorney we link to and we do not vouch for the outcome of any matter you engage them on. See our full disclaimer.

4. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The enforceability decoder runs entirely client-side; we do not log your salary, industry, contract duration, or garden-leave inputs.

5. Intellectual property

The Site's content, design, and trademarks (other than third-party citations to public-domain statutes, court decisions, and government records) are the property of Desymphony EOOD. Statute text and case-law citations are quoted under fair use for informational research.

6. Disclaimers

THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. DESYMPHONY EOOD DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE INFORMATION ON THE SITE IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT, NOR THAT THE SITE WILL BE AVAILABLE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DESYMPHONY EOOD AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SITE — REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE) AND REGARDLESS OF WHETHER WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
