Privacy Policy

NonCompeteState (the “Site”) is operated by Desymphony EOOD, a Bulgarian limited-liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect — and what we do not

Personal decoder inputs are NOT collected. The enforceability decoder runs entirely client-side in your browser. We do not log your salary, industry, contract duration, garden-leave answer, or state of execution; those answers do not leave your device. Only the decoder step number, your current state, and the verdict bucket are sent to Google Analytics, as described below.

Aggregate analytics ARE collected. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and features users find valuable. The information collected is aggregate (page-view counts, country-level geography, browser type, traffic source). We log decoder-result events at the state-code + verdict-bucket level — never the personalized combination of inputs that could identify you. Whether Google Analytics may use cookies depends on your region (see Cookies below).

Server logs. Standard web server logs capture IP address, user agent, referrer, and requested URL. These are retained for security and troubleshooting purposes for up to 30 days, then rotated.

Cookies

There is no cookie banner and no consent pop-up. Before Google Analytics loads, each page sets Google Consent Mode defaults by region. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage are denied by default, so Google Analytics runs without analytics cookies and may send limited cookieless measurements. In all other regions, including the United States, analytics and advertising storage are granted by default, so Google Analytics may set its cookies (_ga, _ga_*). Our content delivery network may also set functional cookies. The site shows no ads and loads no advertising scripts in any region.

Links to attorney directories

If you follow a link to a third-party attorney directory or a state bar referral service, that site collects its own data under its own privacy policy. Desymphony EOOD does not send your decoder inputs to them; the links are plain links.

Email contact

If you email us, we retain that email and any reply thread for the period necessary to handle your inquiry plus a reasonable archival period for legal-defense purposes. We do not enroll email addresses into marketing lists.

Your rights

If you are an EU/EEA resident, you have rights under the GDPR including access, correction, deletion, portability, and restriction of processing. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share personal information). International transfers

Desymphony EOOD is registered in Sofia, Bulgaria. We use processors (Google for Analytics, our content delivery network, our hosting provider) that may transfer data outside your country. We rely on standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards.

Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a revised version on this page with a new effective date.
